Cookie Layer

Instructions
 

Prepare the Baking Pan

  • Line an 8x8 or 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper for easy removal

Make the Brownie Layer

  • Melt butter and chocolate together
  • Whisk in sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth
  • Gently fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Spread evenly into the prepared pan

Prepare the Cookie Dough

  • Cream softened butter with sugars until light and fluffy
  • Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well
  • Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined
  • Fold in chocolate chips

Layer the Brookies

  • Gently dollop the cookie dough over the brownie layer and spread it evenly using a spatula

Bake
